Problem
Power Dime had a bold vision: to transform how corporations procure renewable energy using blockchain and tokenisation.
The goal was to create a platform where corporate buyers could submit RFPs, evaluate pitches from energy developers, and navigate the complex PPA and VPPA contract process. A high-stakes system that needed structure, clarity, and an intuitive user experience.
I had three weeks to make it happen.
While the client was an expert in energy procurement, they didn’t have the time or means to map out the functionality, content, or structure. Beyond an initial customer journey flow we created together during discovery, I created everything, including the content.
The client was passionate about the product and envisioned far more functionality than was necessary at this stage, but I pushed back. Their immediate goal was securing investment, so we focused on building just enough to prove the concept—without overcomplicating it.
Every decision had to be strategic, with only the most critical aspects validated along the way.
My mission? Bridge the knowledge gap, simplify the complexity, and deliver a compelling MVP prototype that would secure investment.

Solution
Speed was everything.
To move quickly without missing key details, I kicked off with an intensive lean discovery process. Through workshops, I mapped out the core business model, user personas, and customer journeys.
But there was a gap. While the client was an expert in energy procurement, they didn’t have the time or means to define the platform’s structure, functionality, or content. So, I took full ownership—determining what pages, sections, and features were essential to meet their investment goals.
During discovery, we uncovered a key insight—smaller corporate buyers struggled to understand VPPAs. If the platform wasn’t easy to grasp, adoption would suffer.
To solve this, I designed a guided onboarding flow that asked key questions to personalise the experience and collect valuable user insights. To further reduce friction, I created an interactive product tour and embedded video guides, ensuring users felt supported at every step.
Data visualisation was another major focus. The platform had to simplify vast amounts of financial and energy-related data into clean, interactive visuals, making investment decisions easier.
Most importantly, I made tough calls to keep the scope focused. The client was excited about AI-powered insights, but I recommended pushing it to a later phase. At this stage, the goal was securing investment—not overcomplicating the MVP. By keeping the experience streamlined, we maximised impact while staying within the tight three-week timeline.
The final deliverable? A high-fidelity interactive prototype, designed to clearly showcase the platform’s value to investors.

Impact
The results were immediate.
The prototype helped Power Dime secure critical investment, validating the concept and enabling further development.
But that wasn’t all.
It also led to strategic partnerships, such as collaboration with Chintai to tokenise VPPAs.
By focusing on user education, intuitive design, and data clarity, we delivered an MVP that positioned Power Dime as a leader in tokenised renewable energy investments.
With investment secured and industry partnerships in place, the next phase will integrate AI to enhance insights and automation, strengthening the platform’s capabilities even further.
Following the successful pitch, Power Dime went ahead and built the platform based on my prototype. They are now testing it with early beta customers, validating its real-world effectiveness before a full launch.
